Can You Actually Create What You Really Want?

If you want to manifest your desires, you've probably tried a number of techniques based on the law of attraction. But if you haven't been successful, what can you do to change things and finally get what you want in life?

The key to manifesting your desires is to hold your desire in the moment you are in.

In most cases, what happens is that someone has a desire and they immediately project it into the future. Let's say you want a new car. You want a new car because you need better transportation and you think if I had I new care then I'd feel good driving around, I'd be able to get to work much more easily and I'd feel great rolling into the staff carpark in a smart new car.

A lot of law of attraction material tells you that you should imagine what it will feel like to experience having whatever it is that you desire. That is all well and good, but you have to root the desire in the moment first.

How can you do this? You ask yourself why you want whatever you desire, in this example, a new car. The first step is to be very clear about why you want it. So you want better transportation to get you to work more efficiently.

However, the temptation is to start thinking about driving to work and how cool you will look, but what you really need to do is to stay with the fact that you want better transportation to work.

Think about all of the reasons you want to manifest your desires, whether it is a car or something else. Using the car example, another reason might be that you want to feel more secure when you are driving.

The temptation here is to start thinking about all the reasons you don't feel safe driving now. So you start to think about the strange noise the car makes, the fact that the tires aren't very good quality and the battery isn't great.

So you end up feeling very insecure about driving, which is exactly the opposite of what you are trying to manifest. You can see that this does not empower you to manifest your desire, but rather takes you off into feeling unsafe, which is exactly what you do not want!

Another reason you want to change cars could be that you want one which is more economical to run, so that you'll save money on gas. But then you start to think about how expensive gas has become recently and again, you are creating the opposite of what you really want to manifest.

How can you avoid this situation?

The way to stop yourself from heading off in a negative direction is to write down clear, concise points stating what you want. Make a list of reasons you want to manifest your desired object or situation, using factual bullet points.

Then observe when you are tempted to run off in your mind out of the moment and into the future. Instead, bring your focus back to the moment and the simple statements: I want better transportation to work, period. I want to drive safely, period.

Staying in the moment with what you want gives you the best opportunity to manifest desires quickly.
