If you are ready to get real with yourself and address your lack of confidence issues...then, make a commitment t yourself to do these seven simple easy to implement tips and begin boosting your confidence TODAY.
Begin your day by writing at least five things you love about yourself. Maybe, you love your toes, your teeth, the way you make people laugh. Go for it and smile, as you think about all those wonderful things you love about you.
In the evening just before going to bed -- write down all the things you are grateful for, on this particular day. For example -- you're grateful for the nutritious breakfast you had. You are grateful for the man who let you go ahead of him in line. There is always something to be grateful for -- they are right under your nose. Enjoy the moment!
Something else to do just before going to bed -- write at three positive affirmation about yourself and/or what you want to accomplish in your life. Affirmation is positive self talk -- a positive statement that something is already accomplished.
During the day -- pay attention to you negative self talk -- close attention -- I am willing to bet you did not realize how many times per day you put youself down. Your subconscious mind does not know the difference between good or bad, negative or positive -- it's like an innocent child -- it accepts as your reality, what you feed it on a regular basis. And after some time that negative self chatter becomes part of who you are. For example -- you repeat over and over again how stupid you are...yet, you wonder why you make so called "stupid decisions." You say you are always late...but you become frustrated because you have a reputation of being late.
Each time you have a negative thought about yourself -- if the situation permits -- write it down and in the evening just before going to bed re write those negative thoughts into positive ones. Begin to create a new habit of acknowledging your negative talk, cancel, delete and/or terminate them. Replace them with new thoughts that are positive and empowering. You are creating a new habit of positive self talk. Remember, practice makes perfect.
Create a habit of saying good things about others, even strangers. Be generous with your complements, make it genuine. There is something positive about everyone. It could be something as simple as telling a stranger that the/she is wearing a beautiful outfit. Notice how good you feel, when that person smiles and says "thank you." It's a sharing of positive vibrations. Don't you want more of this feel good feeling?
Focus on your strengths and take charge of your life. Become involved with your community on some level. Find a group or organization that is in need of your talent or service. Support a cause that is near and dear to your heart and watch you confidence soar!.
Through the day, intermittently, repeat these two statements " I AM CONFIDENT," "I CHOOSE TO BE CONFIDENT'" and ask yourself this question from time to time "WHY AM I CONFIDENT?" Your subconscious will search for and help to create reasons why you are confident.
I hope you stay focused and do these tips. Nor only will you have fun but you will begin to look at yourself through different lens, as you become the confident version of you..
