Here's 4 tips on how to get confidence to help you feel a greater sense of self belief.
1. Be prepared to push through the fear of failure
If you currently lack self confidence, then you'll have had disappointments in the past. These failures created your low self belief. You have to be willing to take a chance that this might happen again because building self confidence is a risky game.
2. Go out and do what you lack confidence in
The key in how to get confidence is to experience genuine success at things. This happens because the mind suddenly realises "Hey, I'm actually good at this!" Like I said though, whilst you're hoping for success, you have to be willing to fail. Taking risks is a massive part of building self confidence.
3. Accept the ups and downs of your confidence level
As people, we are not perfect. Our confidence levels are constantly fluctuating; although some more than others. Your level of confidence depends on how long ago you last succeeded. We don't succeed all the time in life, so if you haven't experienced some genuine awesome success for a while, embrace this.
It's part of human life not to succeed all the time. Because you don't get success constantly, you won't feel on top of the world in every waking moment. Accept that although you can improve your confidence level in general, it will always be changing depending on your circumstances.
Once you can embrace that your confidence won't always be sky high, you can say to yourself "These ups and downs are all part of the long term process of how to get confidence. I should feel confident even at low points, because I know that these small lapses are bound to happen, since I'm only human."
4. Visualise your successes!
It has been psychologically proven that your subconscious mind cannot differentiate between real, actual success, and just imagined success. The effects of real success are better, since it is actually real. But this doesn't mean you can't imagine your success first to get an extra confidence boost!
Whatever you lack confidence in, imagine yourself doing great at it. Picture the scene where your most wanted end result actually happens. How are you feeling? What are other people's reactions? Block out everything else from your mind, and picture yourself succeeding.
Your subconscious mind will engrain this success inside itself - you will actually be instantly more confident! This, for me was the beginning step in learning How To Build Self Confidence.

Keeping Your Eye on the Prize
We spend every day in the trenches. Putting out today's fire. Rising to the next occasion. We focus on moving the proverbial ball down the field. Little thought is given to what it means to cross the goal line.
I recently had occasion to enjoy a cup of coffee with a client towards the end of the day. It was a perfect time for us to sit back and just catch up. The conversation worked its way into some "big picture" topics and the question was posed, "Why do we do what we do?" My answer is very simple and it was refreshing to be reminded of it.
The Most Important Non-Renewal Resource
Much is made today of sustainability and moving beyond the use of Mother Earth's non-renewal resources - oil, gas, coal, etc. These efforts are important, as are the related efforts of reduce, reuse and recycle. But, in the end, there is one non-renewal resource that is most important - time. The reason is simple, we measure our lives by the use of time and when your allotment is used up, no more can be had.
Let me be blunt. At the end of your days, you will never wish you had more money, a bigger house, or better cars. You'll wish you had more time. That's because you won't be done yet. There will be things left for you to do. And they will remain undone. Sad? Maybe, but it also presents an opportunity.
Measuring a Life's Success
Memories are the currency of life. The more good ones you create is the measure of your success. This applies to the professional and personal aspects of your life.
On the professional side, contrary to what Loverboy said, you should not be working for the weekend. You need to work at a job and with people you like. This is a huge part of the time you spend making memories, so make sure you're not squandering it. There's a whole book in describing how to do this, but here are some examples to get you started:
Get an office mate their favorite coffee the next time you're out.
Try incorporating "please" and "thank you" into every conversation.
Smile as much as you can stand it.
Your one-half of the interactions you have each day and you can only control that one-half.
The same goes for your home life. It was recently reported that Americans watch 150 hours of TV each month. That's five hours a day! I know, I know. It's not you, it's Bob in Accounting. But even if you're only watching two or three hours a day, consider the memories you're making. More poignantly, what was the plot of C.S.I. last week? Turn it off; do something else. Anything else, such as:
Go for a walk.
Call your mom.
Have a conversation with your significant other, even if it's your dog.
Play Solitaire.
Engage your mind. Take a stab at making a memory worth a damn.
Making Every Day Count
Regardless of your spiritual proclivities, the gift of time is a limited opportunity. Simplifying your perspective on how to utilize the time you have makes decision making easier. Stay focused on maximizing the number of good memories you create - a job well done, an enjoyable working environment, a nice walk around the block with your significant other or your dog or both, a long-overdue and heart-felt "I love you" to your parents - and you will quickly feel more successful.

Help Yourself Reach Your Goals
Success is not defined by a person for something he or she has done in front of others. Success is something that you will feel yourself when you have designed your destiny and achieved it the hard way. Once you attain success you feel satisfied and you are much happier knowing the efforts that you have put into it. Here is a little bit that you have to know for your own self-help to success.
There are many ways in which you can make it to the top and achieve success. Success need not be associated with the amount of money you make. Success is not money. Success is seeing a dream and drawing it out as real as you have seen it in your own life. Many of us just don't go that extra mile to get a small taste of success. Many of us drop off half way through our journey to success. The reasons for this could be consistent rejection, fear of being a failure, losing self-esteem, and diminishing courage which will drain you and discourage you in going that extra mile. Many of us are in the same race and the reason why others reached their goals is because they didn't give up; those who didn't reach their goals quit ahead of time feeling that those that did succeed had it too easy in their journey.
Every person makes their own choices to make that dream become reality and to decide your own destiny and fate. In your own self-help path to success you must learn to help yourself out of any difficult situation that may arise or from any ongoing situation. How to do this is split and discussed in short in the following lines to come. This is a very simple, strong and pretty effective way to help you with your future success.
First of all set aside any confusion associated with you and your future. Think of nothing but you and the happiness of your family and your life. When you think about your happiness figure out what you notice most or what makes you happy which could be a specific job, business, situation, or lifestyle and fixate on those things. That will be your ultimate driving force to motivate you in becoming successful. For example, if you are happy when you cook and you love cooking but by profession you are a salesperson, you may never be fully content with your life which can basically force you to become a person who is very much confused with the idea of what your own personal success is or how to obtain that. That is where you have to take a risk and do what you love to do because success is associated with what you do the best. From your self-help to success now you know that an initiative to your success lies in your own hands.
After you take your risks and make certain moves you are in a race against only yourself; this is a race where you are your own competitor and where you have to excel each and every time in everything you do. If everything is done properly everything else will fall into place which most people mistake for luck. Luck comes only after hard work. There are no instances where luck brought success to a number of people. After taking the initiative to succeed as well as taking a risk comes our favorite part which is the hard working part. All these are components of what will be your success or how you define your success is going to be.

Is Financial Freedom Ethical?
What images come to mind when you think about financially successful people? Do you see spoilt rich kids, indolent lifestyles and general excess? Many people do. The media constantly feeds us images of the excessive lives of the rich and famous. Lavish wedding celebrations and celebrity shopping trips sell more copies than Bill Gates' latest charitable foundation.
What words are associated with being rich? Filthy, stinking, greedy, irresponsible, and spoilt come to mind. Not how most people would choose to describe themselves. Many people have a love-hate feeling about financial freedom: they'd love the money but hate the values that seem to come with it.
You Can Make Money and Keep Your Values
We all choose our own beliefs and values in life -- at least we should. Many people accept the values and beliefs of others such as family, teachers, or their community, without ever questioning these. Others allow the media or savvy marketers to shape their values. You don't really become more attractive to the opposite sex by wearing a particular perfume; your life won't end because you don't drive the latest model; you don't have to agree with capital punishment or object to immigration just because a newspaper headline tells you to. These are all values and beliefs you have chosen to hold.
Similarly we can choose the values we want to hold about money and financial freedom. It's impossible to achieve financial success while you hold negative values and beliefs about it. If you see negative images and hear negative words when you think about wealth you'll never become wealthy yourself: you're trying to achieve something that is against your beliefs and values. You need to change.
One quick and easy way to begin this is to change your reading and viewing matter. Throw out the celebrity magazines and sensationalizing newspapers. Replace them with success stories of the millions of quietly wealthy people. Read about the foundations endowed by Andrew Carnegie, Bill Gates and other business leaders. Learn how Warren Buffet and Richard Branson use their money wisely. Fill your picture with people using money responsibly. Change your perspective and you'll soon see yourself in a group whose values now reflect your own.
Achieve Your Financial Freedom by Helping Others Achieve Theirs
Many people believe you can only succeed at the expense of others. They see success like a mountain -- the higher you climb the narrower it gets and there's only room for a few at the top. In their view you climb over others to reach success and protect yourself by keeping the others down on the lower slopes.
There is no rule that says your success can only be achieved at the expense of others. It isn't necessary to step on them or do them down in some way. In Think and Grow Rich Napoleon Hill says:
'...no wealth or position can long endure, unless built on truth and justice...'
In fact, Hill goes on to explain, trying to succeed at the expense of others is counter-productive and more likely to lead to failure. Let's think about it:
If I take business from you by using underhand methods you will be unhappy. You may become resentful and look for ways to get back at me. Our business relationship -- and reputations -- may suffer as a result of what happened. Maybe I sold under cost to get the business. I can't keep doing this, and when I put my prices back up I have a customer who knows he's been given a bad deal. No-one wins.
But if we compete on equal terms, accepting that each will win and lose sometimes, we create a better business environment and the potential to work collaboratively for mutual benefit. Maybe I have problems meeting an order due to sickness and need to call on someone I can trust for help. Maybe you need an introduction into a business forum that I'm active in. We're more likely to want to help and support each other, and both of us will benefit by this.
You can achieve financial freedom ethically if you make the right choices.

It is Not What You Do - It is How You Do It - Why Can This Way of Thinking Change Your Life?
Success has been a hot topic for many years now. How does one become successful? Which is the business, which is most conducive to success? What is the shortcut to success? This article argues that there is no particular business, which is more guaranteed to achieve success, but that there is a certain way of doing things, which will bring success in whichever business you are occupied in.
Have you ever worked in a company? If yes, then you must have observed how the salespeople of this company had varying results. However, you could not really tell what the reason for those varying results was. They simply looked as if they were doing the same job and in the same way! Well, in fact, results never cheat. Since they had different results, obviously some of those salespeople did their job better than the others. They followed the laws of success.
Yet, many try something, and once they fail, they simply say, this is not for me. While in many cases this is true, in the majority of cases people give up too easily and too fast. They choose to concentrate on the what, rather than the how, and move on to another what. They try to do something else, but they forget that they take themselves, the how with them. Thus, they are bound to fail again and again until they change the how. It is not what you do, it is how you do it.
In this regard, a successful person would be successful no matter what they are involved in. The reason for that is that they follow the Science of Success. And the Science of Success is that you should always give your best, no matter what you are doing. Even if you are cleaning toilets, you should be giving your best. Even if you believe that you are much better than your current occupation, you should be doing your best. The truth is that your boss might not reward you for your efforts, but the Universe definitely will. This is the Science of Success, and in fact it also happens to be the Science of Getting Rich as well.
More than a 100 years ago Wallace D. Wattles wrote a little green book "The Science of Getting Rich," in which he outlined the principles of accumulating money. A few years ago Bob Proctor, the star guru from the hit movie "The Secret" made an audio program together with two other big teachers Jack Canfield and Michael Beckwith elaborating on the lessons of this book. To read a review of this great program and other similar programs simply follow the link below. Enjoy making the Science of Success and Getting Rich work for you!

We Have the Power and Ability to Overcome Any Obstacle
Do you know the assets that we all possess mentally? You may say "that is not pertaining to me". Please don't forget that big computer that sets on your shoulders. Our brains are there for our personal use. Unfortunately, most of us do not take full advantage of this incredible power that is at our disposal. In fact, we use very little of its resources.
Though I graduated from college, I have just an average intelligence, I think. It takes determination and perseverance to accomplish anything you set out to do. You need to have a desire and a plan for the future in order to meet any goal. We all possess the ability to accomplish any mission if we put our mind to it. If you can't reach your goal, then you should make a list of what you believe your problems are. This list should highlight your assets and liabilities that you feel are causing you to not obtain your desired goal or goals.
Once you understand what is making you falter, it is time to align your assets, eliminate the deficiencies you have and reorder how you are going to obtain the desired outcome. You absolutely can do it! You have the resources just like I have and others have. You have the very same ability. Forget about the people you think are smarter than you are. They merely use more of their brain than you do presently. It is time to start believing in yourself and you can accomplish anything you set your mind to do. Your brain wants to help you out but you have to know how to activate it. You aren't inferior to anyone else. Start applying yourself and utilize that god given asset that sits at your own disposal.
Be sure to have a positive attitude in what ever you say or do. End any negative thoughts and ideas that you possess if you want to accomplish anything in life. You need to believe you are worthy of great things. You can do anything now. So you've made lots of mistakes already. Haven't we all. If your mouth gets out of hand, start being a listener. If you have said things that you regret, change it. Say you're sorry and didn't mean what you said. It is easier to correct some things and more difficult with others. If you're going to be successful, get in a successful mode. You will need lots of support from as many people as you can get in your court to help reach your goals. Networking skills need to be part of what you do. Be someone that others like and will readily help and advise along the way.
Correct your problems and then move forward in a positive way. If you lost your job recently, it probably is not anything you did or didn't do. Don't beat yourself up. Start showing your positive attitude and find your new job. You are just as good as anyone else. Show your positive energy and bring a smile with you on your next interview.
Please don't make any negative comments when being examined in an interview. That will eliminate you quicker than you can imagine. Use complements if possible, research the company and its job requirements for the position you are seeking. Then, ask questions (that you thought about before hand) and then ask for the job at the end of the interview. You deserve it. Be neat and well groomed. It is those first impressions that you want to appear favorable in the eyes of the hiring manager.
Problems at home can be smoothed out as well. Compliments, kindnesses, forgiveness and appreciation go along way to make everyone happy and stress free. Accomplish your goals without little or big things to distract your thoughts. Have the belief in yourself that will carry you forward. You can obtain what you set out to do. Use your ability and coupled with your determination and desire to meet that accomplishment head on.

Can You Actually Create What You Really Want?
If you want to manifest your desires, you've probably tried a number of techniques based on the law of attraction. But if you haven't been successful, what can you do to change things and finally get what you want in life?
The key to manifesting your desires is to hold your desire in the moment you are in.
In most cases, what happens is that someone has a desire and they immediately project it into the future. Let's say you want a new car. You want a new car because you need better transportation and you think if I had I new care then I'd feel good driving around, I'd be able to get to work much more easily and I'd feel great rolling into the staff carpark in a smart new car.
A lot of law of attraction material tells you that you should imagine what it will feel like to experience having whatever it is that you desire. That is all well and good, but you have to root the desire in the moment first.
How can you do this? You ask yourself why you want whatever you desire, in this example, a new car. The first step is to be very clear about why you want it. So you want better transportation to get you to work more efficiently.
However, the temptation is to start thinking about driving to work and how cool you will look, but what you really need to do is to stay with the fact that you want better transportation to work.
Think about all of the reasons you want to manifest your desires, whether it is a car or something else. Using the car example, another reason might be that you want to feel more secure when you are driving.
The temptation here is to start thinking about all the reasons you don't feel safe driving now. So you start to think about the strange noise the car makes, the fact that the tires aren't very good quality and the battery isn't great.
So you end up feeling very insecure about driving, which is exactly the opposite of what you are trying to manifest. You can see that this does not empower you to manifest your desire, but rather takes you off into feeling unsafe, which is exactly what you do not want!
Another reason you want to change cars could be that you want one which is more economical to run, so that you'll save money on gas. But then you start to think about how expensive gas has become recently and again, you are creating the opposite of what you really want to manifest.
How can you avoid this situation?
The way to stop yourself from heading off in a negative direction is to write down clear, concise points stating what you want. Make a list of reasons you want to manifest your desired object or situation, using factual bullet points.
Then observe when you are tempted to run off in your mind out of the moment and into the future. Instead, bring your focus back to the moment and the simple statements: I want better transportation to work, period. I want to drive safely, period.
Staying in the moment with what you want gives you the best opportunity to manifest desires quickly.
